An exotic, surrealist journey...

THE RED DRESS is a modern journey to the surreal. Featuring top models in mystical settings, each clip is built around the memory of a young woman's dream. In each fantasy, the woman wears a distictive red dress. In this mysterious series of short music videos, the unexpected is commonplace. A 12-part series shot in Riga, Latvia, Written and directed by JFRobinson, THE RED DRESS was produced exclusively for web and mobile distribution.

About SURREALISM

Surrealism was a self-proclaimed revolutionary movement that was created by a group of Parisian artists in the aftermath and dispair of WWI. During the war, many involved themselves in the Dada movement believing that excessive rational thought and bourgeois values had brought the terrifying conflict upon the world. Key Surrealist figures were André Breton, Max Ernst, Giorgio de Chirico, Max Ernst, André Masson, Man Ray, Salvador Dalî, René Magritte, Paul Klee, Joan Miro & Luis Buñuel.

Breton's definition: in the superior reality of certain forms of previously neglected associations, in the omnipotence of dream, in the disinterested play of thought. It tends to ruin once and for all other psychic mechanisms and to substitute itself for them in solving all the principal problems of life.
